Not Dead Yet, 2010

Ummm, I've been busy.

Well, that, plus the general motivational dilemma when the blogger (me) spends way more time typing than the total number of readers (you) spends reading. I had some fun and some eyeball action last year with the Super Bowl run-up, but things fell out a little differently this time.

Back to the present: I'm going to lose my Haloscan (now Echo) commenting setup at the beginning of March unless I pay them, so I am mulling over whether to move the whole blog and start over with a new layout for 2010. (Yes, I know the template stinks in IE. I just dislike IE too much to do anything about it.) Or should I go back to Blogger's comments, and stay put. Or pay Echo. Or bag the whole business. I've always been able to say "My blogging is a nearly-complete waste of time, but at least it's free, and it's 100% optional". But when you can read The Pensblog and Empty Netters and Puck Huffers and the Pens' website, what the hell do you need to come here for? I can occasionally throw some amusing snark, but there's nothing compellingly original here. I'm in an existential blog crisis, because unlike 98% of the rest of the blogosphere, I don't see the point of typing only to myself. I don't have any answers. Look through my archives and tell me whether this is worthwhile to continue.
